Senior Management Team
4Kids is led by a team of entertainment and licensing industry veterans. Together, 4Kids Entertainment’s senior management team is implementing its strategic vision to maintain its leadership position in the children’s entertainment and merchandise licensing arena.
Samuel R. Newborn
Mr. Newborn is Executive Vice President, Business Affairs and General Counsel, overseeing a substantial portion of the companies business activities, with specific focus on Business Affairs. Mr. Newborn has served on the 4Kids Entertainment Board of Directors since 2006.
An honors graduate of Yale College and Columbia University Law School where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, Mr. Newborn has been practicing law for 28 years specializing in entertainment and media. While in private practice, Mr. Newborn was a partner at the boutique entertainment law firm of Janklow and Traum, later Janklow, Newborn and Ashley, for more than 15 years prior to joining 4Kids Entertainment.
Bruce R. Foster
Bruce R. Foster is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of 4Kids Entertainment overseeing a substantial portion of the Company’s business activities with specific focus on finance operations, corporate strategy and development, investor relations, treasury and risk management activities, information systems and corporate tax compliance and strategies.
Mr. Foster has financial expertise in the licensing, entertainment, television and digital media arenas. He joined 4Kids Entertainment in 2002 as Senior Vice President of Finance. Prior to joining 4Kids Entertainment, Mr. Foster was an audit director with the professional services firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP.
Mr. Foster holds a B.S. in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Brian Lacey
Brian Lacey is Executive Vice President of 4Kids International, overseeing global broadcast sales for the company. Prior to joining the Company in July 2003, Mr. Lacey was the President and founder of Lacey Entertainment, a New York-based worldwide television marketing, production and distribution company, specializing in innovative and creative approaches in the packaging, production and launching of television series in the U.S. and around the world. Prior to forming Lacey Entertainment, he was co-founder and principal of Zodiac Entertainment, a television program and marketing co-venture formed with Central Independent Television of the UK (now Carlton Television), as well as general manager of World Events Productions.
Over his 20-year career in entertainment, Mr. Lacey has been responsible for the broadcast distribution of over 2,000 episodes of television entertainment to over 100 countries worldwide.
Rosalind C. Nowicki
Rosalind “Roz” Nowicki is Executive Vice President, Global Marketing and Licensing for 4Kids Entertainment, Inc., appointed in April 2007. Ms. Nowicki oversees the companies licensing and marketing activities for both the 4Kids and 4sight licensing subsidiaries on a global basis. In this role Ms. Nowicki has oversight of the 4 Kids International offices in London and directs the acquisition of 3rd party properties for the Company. Prior to her current position, Ms. Nowicki served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Licensing from February of 2002 on several of the Company’s key represented brands. Ms. Nowicki joined 4Kids Entertainment in August of 2001 as Vice President of Marketing, successfully managing the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand introduction outside of Asia, growing the related merchandising and marketing programs into a multi-billion dollar franchise.
Prior to joining 4Kids, Ms. Nowicki served as Vice President of Softlines Licensing at Universal Studios for eight years, overseeing the licensing of their broad library of properties, including feature films and television shows. Previous to Universal Studios, Ms. Nowicki held key management positions at apparel-maker Guess? and within the Consumer Products Group of The Walt Disney Company.
Ms. Nowicki began her career in retail merchandising and product development and received her Bachelors Degree in Political Science from San Diego State University
Sandra Vauthier-Cellier
Ms.Vauthier-Cellier is Managing Director of 4Kids Entertainment International and 4sight licensing solutions international with oversight of all licensing sales, retail and promotions across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Ms. Vauthier-Cellier also manages third party brand acquisitions and relationships in the region.
Ms. Vauthier-Cellier joined 4Kids Entertainment International in January 2005 and was appointed Managing Director in 2008. Ms. Vauthier-Cellier has been instrumental in growing the international business and mapping out new strategic initiatives in the marketing and licensing of 4Kids brands such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Yu-Gi-Oh! and most recently Max Adventures for Unilever. She has also played a key role in expanding 4sight licensing solutions international on brands which include; Artlist: The Dog and Friends and recent acquisitions The Kennel Club, Crufts and Chicaloca.
Prior to joining 4Kids, Sandra worked for The Beanstalk Group, on internationally renowned brands. In her five years with Beanstalk, Mr. Vauthier-Cellier developed and managed the brand-enhancing licensing programmes of Coca-Cola, Andy Warhol and Harley Davidson throughout Europe. Additionally , she worked on the overall strategic development and brand direction of the retail- licensing program throughout Europe for the marykateandashley brand. Ms. Vauthier-Cellier played a major role in the international success of the marykateandashley brand and secured agreements with leading retailers and blue chip companies throughout Europe.
Ms. Vauthier -Cellier began her career in the FMCG sector in France before heading marketing and communications at BT Lec, part of E.Leclerc, a leading French retailer.
