Canine Stars Set To Shine At BLE!
LONDON - Visitors to this year’s Brand Licensing Europe 2011 will get the chance to meet some of the UK’s biggest canine acting stars, courtesy of the Kennel Club and licensing agent 4sight licensing solutions, a subsidiary of 4Kids Entertainment International.
Several four-legged stars of the screen will appear throughout the show with the help of their handlers and will include Tori, who played Dash in Young Victoria, Buddy from Doc Martin, Roly from Downton Abby, Harvey from Midsomer Murders and either Cracker from Sadie J or Check, who has starred in Mad Dogs and Friday Night Dinner. The dogs will be kitted out in Kennel Club branded jackets and bandanas and their handlers will be wearing Kennel Club T-shirts to encourage people to visit the 4sight stand and find out more about the fantastic potential offered by the Kennel Club and Crufts brands.
The Kennel Club is the largest organisation in the UK that is specifically dedicated to the health and welfare of dogs, with a broad remit to protect and promote their general wellbeing. At its heart are programmes and investments in education and health initiatives to ensure that dogs are healthy, happy and long-lived. Crufts – the world’s most popular dog show, is hosted each year by the Kennel Club and is attended by dog lovers from across the globe who come together to experience the competitions and events that celebrate the diverse role dogs play in society. This year More4 broadcast eight hours of coverage of the show reaching an audience in excess of 2.5 million.
4sight has enjoyed considerable success with both brands, which are now represented across a host of categories, including dog bedding and accessories, branded pet tags, digital content, publishing, greetings, collectibles, home furnishings, grooming products, kennels and prints and canvasses. There will be more categories announced soon along with a series of promotional events.
“We are delighted these talented dogs are set to join us at BLE, they will bring a lot of fun to the show and are sure to prove a star attraction,” said Sandra Vauthier-Cellier, Managing Director of 4sight licensing solutions and 4Kids Entertainment International. “Their presence should encourage people to find out more about the Kennel Club and Crufts, which are proving to be very popular and versatile brands”.
